This Section covers specifications, guides and other relevant documents which have general, rather than specific applications and which are either not appropriate to the earlier Sections or do not relate to finishing treatments per se.
The Section includes documents relating to the preparation of metals for protective treatments and to the testing and packaging of components after a corrosion protection finish has been applied. The documents are therefore important in the production, proving and inspection of protective finishes and in a number of cases their use by Service Departments is mandatory.
