This European Telecommunication Standard (ETS) has been produced by the Terminal Equipment (TE) Technical Committee of the European Telecommunication Standards Institute (ETSI). This ETS contains the attachment requirements applicable to packet mode Data Terminal Equipment (DTEs) which subscribe to the optional application of the Link Access Procedure Balanced (LAPB) extended (modulo 128) operation. These attachment requirements are additional to those contained in the main body of NET 2 [1].
