The present document provides Test Suite Structure and Test Purposes (TSS&TP). It applies to the application independent card related terminal requirements defined in TS 101 200-4 [7].
The TSS&TP is in compliance with the relevant requirements and according to the relevant guidance given in ISO/IEC 9646-7 [11] and ETS 300 406 [9]. The set of tests described herein is intended to proof the compliance of a terminal with the standard TS 101 200-4 [7]. However the number of tests and the depth of testing is not sufficient for a product qualification test, especially as the standard TS 101 200-4 [7] does not define any application.
For a product qualification at least the following tests should be added:
- Application tests
Each application implemented in the terminal shall be tested against the specifications for these applications.
- User Card (UC) and Security Module (SM) interface test
The interface between the user card and the security module shall be tested to verify the correct coding of all the used commands. The reaction of the terminal to every error code possible shall also be tested and be as specified for the application.
- Performance test
To test whether the terminal complies with all the environmental conditions required and reacts within the specified time.
