QUALIFIED PRODUCT LIST OF PRODUCTS QUALIFIED UNDER PERFORMANCE SPECIFICATION SAE-AS8976 BEARINGS, PLAIN, SELF-ALIGNING, ALL METAL
This QPL has been prepared for use by or for the Government in the acquisition of products covered by the subject non-Government standard and inclusion of a product is not intended to and does not connote endorsement of the product by the Department of Defense. All products included herein have been qualified under the requirements for the products as specified in the latest effective issue of the applicable non- Government standard. This QPL is updated as necessary and is subject to change without notice. Inclusion of a product does not release or otherwise affect the obligation of the manufacturer to comply with the non-Government standard requirements.
*Provisions Governing Procurement. Procurement of these bearing shall be in accordance with FAR 52.225-3 (Buy American Act)and D.FAR 52.225-7012 (Preference for Domestic Speciality Metals). The contractor should include trhese include these provisions in every subcontract and purchase order.
When an item is required by the non-Government standard but not listed on the QPL, or suppliers are notin compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations, the Contracting Officer or his representative is required to contact the Naval Air Systems Command (Code 4.3.5.4), 48110 Shaw Road, Bldg. 2187, Paxtuxent River, MD 20670-5304 for Guidance
THE ACTIVITY RESPONSIBLE FOR QUALIFICATION APPROVAL IS THE NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND, (CODE 4.3.5.4), 48110 SHAW ROAD, BLDG. 2187, PATUXENT RIVER, MD 20670-5304.
THE ACTIVITY RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS QUALIFIED PRODUCTS LIST IS THE NAVAL AIR SYSTEMS COMMAND (ATTENTION: COMMANDER, NAVAL AIR WARFARE CENTER AIRCRAFT DIVISION, CODE 4L8000B120-3, HIGHWAY 547, LAKEHURST, NJ 08733- 5100).
