This document defines test methods to verify interface protocols to functional catering components (i.e., beverage makers, ovens, refrigerators, trash compactors, etc.) connected to the Controller Area Network (CAN), Galley Data Bus as described in ARINC Specification 812A, Part 1.

This document describes verification tests for commands and messages implemented for the following galley insert (GAIN) functionalities:

• GAIN Power Control

• GAIN Data Transfer (data up/download)

• GAIN Failure Monitoring (diagnosis)

• Network Monitoring

• Pin Programming

• State Transitions

This document should be applied to all devices attached to the Galley Data Bus.

Purpose of this Document

The purpose of this specification is to define test procedures to verify the implementation of the Controller Area Network (CAN) interface for Galley Systems, as defined in ARINC Specification 812A, Part 1.
