This instruction applies to all Navy activities that sponsor or control deploying units or elements with personnel, supplies, and equipment requiring deployment transportation via the Defense Transportation System (DTS).

Purpose

a. To provide Navy policy regarding responsibilities and management for the Transportation Coordinators'- Automated Information for Movement System II (TC-AIMS II) as the Navy's unit deployment system of record.

b. This instruction is a complete revision and should be reviewed in its entirety. Changes include clarification of the funding responsibilities for Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Fleet Readiness and Logistics (CNO (N4)), the Commander, Naval Supply Systems Command (COMNAVSUPSYSCOM), and fleet commanders.
