Non-critical Pump Sites – Control Panel Specification

inactive
Organization: LUL
Publication Date: 1 September 2014
Status: inactive
Page Count: 35
scope:

This Specification applies to non-critical pump sites. These are pump sites where structural or serviceability failure would not result in restrictions to the operational railway / highway networks (e.g. by track, station, highway or underpass closure) within 24 hours; this is termed the Pump Failure Impact Time (PFIT). Refer to the current version of London Underground (LU) Category 1 Standard S1056 Civil Engineering - Pump Drainage Systems for the detailed methodology concerning determination of pump site criticality. The LU Asset Management System (AMS) is called ELLIPSE; all non-critical pump sites are labelled as such in ELLIPSE.

Purpose

The purpose of this Technical Specification is to provide designers and tenderers/ contractors with the minimum technical standards and physical requirements that pump control equipment (at non-critical pump sites) shall be designed and constructed to meet.
