Preface

The standards set forth herein apply to the first edition of the Standard for Manually Operated Piezo- Electric Spark Gas Ignition Systems and Components, ANSI Z21.77-1995 • CGA-6.23-M95 and ANSI Z21.77a-1997 • CGA-6.23a-1997, and supersede corresponding standards therein. Following their preparation by the supervising subcommittee, they were accepted by American National Standards Institute (ANSI), the Interprovincial Gas Advisory Council, (IGAC) International Approval Services - U.S., Inc. and the Canadian Gas Association and subsequently approved.
