This part of ISO 9241: - Describes the methods that can be used for the evaluation of haptic devices and of systems that include haptic devices. - Specifies a procedure for the evaluation of haptic interactions based on user testing (Annex I). - Provides a list of the attributes of haptic systems, cross-referenced to the relevant clauses of ISO 9241-910, ISO 9241-920 and ISO 9241-9601, that can be assessed using evaluation based on inspection and laboratory-based measurement. ISO 9241-940 includes interaction in a virtual environment - logical or virtual spaces with which a user can interact with the aid of a haptic device.
