DSF/IEC/TS 62257-12-1 ED. 2.0

IEC 62257-12-1 TS Ed.2: Recommendations for small renewable energy and hybrid systems for rural electrification - Part 12-1: Selection of self-ballasted lamps (CFL) for rural electrification systems and recommendations for household lighting equipment

pending, Most Current
Organization: DS
Status: pending
Page Count: 93
scope:

We expanded the scope to now include lamps and lighting appliances for offgrid electricity systems that have the following characteristics: - The power supply is AC or DC: - AC nominal voltages up to 250 V - DC nominal voltages up to 48 V - The light source is CFL, linear fluorescent, or LED. - Operation of the lamp or lighting appliance does not require any components to be supplied by the testing laboratory other than lampholders, wire, connectors, and a power supply. - The lamp or lighting appliance does not include a battery or energy source (e.g., a photovoltaic module or electromechanical generator). - We added a description of the set of users of the updated document, including market development programs, manufacturers and distributors, bulk procurement programs, and trade regulators. Later in the document, we are able to refer back to these user groups to give context on how different parts of the technical specification apply to them.
