scope:

This specification covers the requirements, examinations and tests for three types and two classes of manually operated, slide action, hammerless, 12 gage riot-type shotguns (see 6.1).

Shotguns covered by this specification shall be of the following types and classes.

Type I. With bayonet adaptor, heat shield and sling.

Class 1. Take-down receiver.

Class 2. Solid receiver.

Type II. With sling only.

Class 1. Take-down receiver.

Class 2. Solid receiver.

Type III. With rifle sights and sling.

Class 1. Take-down receiver.

Class 2. Solid receiver.
