This standard describes a standard practice for grounding contact assignment for detachable power cables on 6kW, 12kW and 18kW metal-halide lamp ballasts used in the motion picture and television industries on portable studio luminaires that use the MIL-C-5015 or MIL-DTL-5015 connectors with #28-6 insert configuration on the ballast end of the power cable.
