Foreword

This Supplement to DIN 45673-7 has been prepared by Working Committee NA 001-03-15 AA (NALS/VDI C 15) Schwingungsminderung in der Umgebung von Verkehrswegen of the Normenausschuss Akustik, Lärmminderung und Schwingungstechnik (NALS) im DIN und VDI (Acoustics, Noise Control and Vibration Engineering Standards Committee in DIN and VDI). It contains (on CD-ROM) three forms that can be used to systematically record the results of tests carried out in accordance with DIN 45673-7, thus increasing the comparability of technical data obtained with different products.

With these forms, it is possible to compile the results of tests carried out at different times or by different testing institutes. On the first page of each form, the individual measurements of each responsible testing institute and the relevant test reports can be listed. The person responsible for compiling the results is to be named.

The forms are provided as spreadsheet files in the form of Excel workbooks, each comprising four worksheets, programmed using Excel 2010. The greyed out cells are edit boxes; some edit boxes have drop down lists from which information that conforms with the standard can be selected. Some edit boxes also have small red corners; when hovering the mouse over these corners, balloons with text will pop up. The input information forms the basis for calculating dependent values and is taken over in all worksheets of a workbook. The required mean values and percentage changes are then automatically calculated from the input values. Graphics such as charts or diagrams can be embedded in the last worksheet of each form. The workbooks (file names) are as follows:

- Discrete supports for floating slab track systems DIN_45673-7_dFST.xlsx,

- Continuous resilient mats for floating slab track systems DIN_45673-7_cFST.xlsx,

- Strip mats for floating slab track systems DIN_45673-7_sFST.xlsx.

All workbooks are included in the attached CD-ROM. All files are write-protected (except for the edit boxes).

The test parameters specified in DIN 45673-7 are summarized in the forms. Additional test parameters and results are to be included where necessary, depending on the use case and requirements of the user. To this end, additional worksheets can be added to the forms included in this Supplement.
