This specification applies to all new transformer/rectifier equipments installed on the D.C. Electrified Lines.

Purpose

This specification states the requirements for the design, manufacture and testing of transformer/rectifier equipments for use in d.c. traction substations for the conversion of the high voltage, three phase a.c. supply to d.c. having a nominal voltage in the range 650 to 750 V.

The document is to be read in conjunction with the relevant procurement specification.
