Scope of application
This technical code applies to the hot gas extrusion welding (hereinafter called extrusion welding) of pipes and panels in tank, apparatus and pipeline construction as well as during the manufacture of self-supporting collecting pans and of seals on concrete structures with thermoplastics. It describes the different processes, indicates the process limits and stipulates requirements for the quality assurance.
Special instructions for the extrusion welding of sealing sheets in earthwork construction and water engineering are included in the DVS 2225-1 and DVS 2225-4 technical codes. Instructions for the extrusion welding of casing pipes can be found in the DVS 2207-5 technical code.
