The purpose of drawn-arc stud welding is to weld predominantly pin-shaped, metallic parts onto metallic parent metals. This process is classified as a variation of arc pressure welding. It enables cross-sectional welding of a great number of joining elements onto parent metals, and can be carried out either manually or automatically using welding guns or welding heads.
