This guideline is intended to be an aid in the commissioning of buildings. It is limited to the building services cost types 400 and 500 as per DIN 276-1. Any links to other trades involved in building (cost types 200 and 300) are addressed in individual cases. The guideline VDI 6039 is intended to explain and point out techniques and processes of commissioning management.
The commissioning management described in this guideline is a non-recurrent process carried out once for the building services in new buildings or in existing buildings or parts of buildings to be modernised or remodelled.
In particular, commissioning functions spanning several trades are presented. References to existing legislation, regulations and technical rules for trade-specific commissioning of individual installations are provided.
