Scope and objective

This Part of guideline VDI 6028 contains a summary of technical specifications and requirement profiles for heat technology, and the possible evaluation criteria, as defined in Section 7.2 of guideline VDI 6028 Part 1, are described on this basis.

On the basis of the lists the choice must be made, for a particular building project, as to which criteria are to apply in which planning phase.

The various specifications may be supplemented by owners, users, object planners, technical planners or other planning assistances, as well as by building companies.

A further refining (detailing) or reduction to criteria for guidance may be proposed by the object planner/ technical planner to the client in individual cases in view of the influences that can be brought to bear on the execution of the work. According to planning and room requirements (different areas of usage), the individual descriptions of nature and structure of these systems and components taken from the planning data sheet may have to be filled out several times.

Specifications of the building owner should be written down in the list.
