This standard is concerned with grinding processes in which the position of the workpiece in relation to the grinding tool is not fixed by centring spindles during the grinding operation. Instead the workpiece is freely mounted on a work-rest blade and fed between the grinding wheel and control wheel, which vary in diameter.
