VDI 2019 BLATT 1

Testing the adhesion of thermoplastic elastomers (TPE) on substrates - Injection-moulded substrates

inactive, Most Current
Organization: VDI
Publication Date: 1 October 2014
Status: inactive
Page Count: 15
ICS Code (Thermoplastic materials): 83.080.20
ICS Code (Rolling, extruding and drawing equipment): 25.120.20
scope:

This VDI Standard specifies a test method for assessing the adhesive strength of TPE/thermoplastic composites produced using the two-component injection moulding method, and serves to calculate the peel failure (peel strength). It is mainly applicable to soft components in the Shore A hardness range.

This standard defines a test specimen and not the injection moulding tool for the manufacture of this test specimen. A comparison of the measured values with test specimen, which were produced on different injection moulding tools has to take this into account.
