scope:
This IRMA method is a sampling procedure, which only in conjunction with a subsequent, defined analytical procedure for the obtained samples becomes a complete measurement method.
Deposition flux determination with the IRMA method can be used for a variety of purposes, e.g.:
• associated investigation into the formation of corrosion or weathering by atmospheric trace substances in the natural weathering of materials according to VDI 3955 Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3
• identification of atmospheric substances that cause material damage and determination of the current risk of damage to objects through the impact of atmospheric substances
• recording of spatial and local climatic differences in the non-gravitational deposition of atmospheric trace substances and seasonal or other fluctuations in their deposition
• as part of an impact mapping of atmospheric trace substances
