scope:
The DIN EN ISO 10360-1 standard contains terminology used in the context of acceptance and reverification testing of coordinate measuring machines. DIN EN ISO 10360-2 describes test procedures for touch probe CMMs used for measuring linear dimensions.
This standard explains the specifications set out in DIN EN ISO 10360-2 and provides supplementary information on how to carry out the acceptance and reverification tests. Knowledge of the aforementioned standards is assumed.
The latest version of DIN EN ISO 10360-2 has taken into account some, but not all, of the issues specific to the testing of large CMMs, which have so far only appeared in VDI/VDE 2617 Part 2.3. These specifics are now compiled in this standard, and the previous Part 2.3 is withdrawn.
First, the essential alterations in the new DIN EN ISO 10360-2 are described in Section 4 of this standard. Section 5 then goes into details about the testing of the length measurement error. Section 6 describes specifics of the testing of large CMMs to the extent not yet covered by DIN EN ISO 10360-2.
