Purpose and scope
Guideline VDI 2035 Part 1, applies to drinking water heating systems in accordance with DIN 4753 and to water heating systems in accordance with DIN EN 12828 within a building, when the specified flow temperature does not exceed 100 °C.
This guideline also applies to heat contracting systems in which building complexes are supplied, when it is ensured, that during the life of the plant the additional water volume is not greater than twice the water filling volume. Otherwise, as for industrial and district heating systems, reference should be made to the AGFW Work Part FW 510 or VdTÜV Code of Practice TCh 1466.
The purpose of this guideline is the avoidance of damage due to scaling in drinking water heating and water heating systems.
