Delivery strategies in logistics

active, Most Current
Organization: VDI
Publication Date: 1 June 2007
Status: active
Page Count: 20
ICS Code (Purchasing. Procurement. Logistics): 03.100.10
scope:

The form of the supply relationship between suppliers and consumers is determined by a wide range of factors. This applies equally to internal and intercompany supply relationships. There are no generally applicable description and organisation rules for supply relationships.

This VDI guideline introduces the elements with which a supply relationship can be described and provides instructions for the systematic analysis and the design of a supply relationship. It also describes how complex supply chains can be developed by linking up a number of individual supply relationships.

Supply Chain Management is the integration of all business processes from the end customer to the producers right back to the first pre-supplier who generate product, services or information with added value for the end customer.
