This Standard applies to industrial plants for the production of carbon blacks (as defined in no. 4.6 column c of Schedule 1, 4th BImSchV (4th Ordinance on the Implementation of the German Federal Immission Control Act)), including the treatment and refining processes and the required auxiliary installations that use the following processes:
- furnace black process
- gas black process
- lamp black process
