scope:
The series of standards VDI 2100 deals with the analytical determination of volatile organic compounds. As set out in the standards VDI 2100 Part 1 to Part 3, this includes a wide spectrum of components within a wide range of boiling points and volatilities. Practice has shown that the calibration of the analytical procedures used is not without problems. Here, attention must be paid from the start to how calibration, which is a measure for quantification and quality assurance, is integrated into the analytical procedure.
The standard VDI 2100 Part 4 describes preparation methods for calibration gases and calibration solutions for the measurement of gaseous organic compounds in ambient air or indoor air by means of gas chromatographic determination.
