VDI 4300 BLATT 11

Measurement of indoor air pollution - Measurement strategies for determination of airborne particles in indoor environment - PM2,5-fraction

active, Most Current
Organization: VDI
Publication Date: 1 December 2013
Status: active
Page Count: 48
ICS Code (Ambient atmospheres): 13.040.20
scope:

This standard describes the measurement methods and strategies for determining the concentration of airborne particles indoors, in particular the fraction with an equivalent diameter < 2,5 μm. In addition, it describes methods for identifying typical indoor particle sources and for controlling the success of alleviation measures.

Section 6 describes various measurement methods with their advantages, drawbacks and areas of application indoors. Section 7 describes measurement strategies for determining airborne particles indoors.

This standard does not cover the determination of bioaerosols or the chemical characterisation of particles. For the measurement and assessment of dust composition, see the relevant technical rules in the VDI 4301 series and DIN (EN) ISO 16000.

This standard does not cover passenger compartments of vehicles and public transport systems.
