Objective and scope
This guideline gives recommendations regarding the calibration of universal counters. These are meant to ensure that the most important counter characteristics such as frequency deviation, frequency drift, stabilisation characteristics, and the most important counter functions such as the function of the input gates (sensitivity and trigger level adjustment) and gate control (measuring times and resolution) are examined in the various operating modes.
