Introduction

Guideline VDI 2457 provides instructions on measuring the emission concentrations of gaseous organic air pollutants. Part 1 of this series of guidelines deals with the fundamentals of sampling, sample preparation and the chromatographic determination. The following Parts describe examples of use of proven methods which focus principally on the sampling method.

Safety note: On handling chemicals, pressurized gas cylinders, open radioactive sources (ECD) etc., the relevant occupational safety or radiation protection provisions must be taken into account.
