Strictly speaking, the meteorological data presented in this guideline are only valid in the immediate vicinity of the stations given. The local orographic structure, landscape and the buildings determine how far extrapolations of the data can be extended into the surrounding regions. In analogy to DIN 4710, which gives the pertinent data for Germany, the monthly data are averaged according to energy input and are suitable for the assessment of installations in terms of energy efficiency and, giving due consideration to extreme conditions, for dimensioning air-conditioning installations.
As in DIN 4710, technical calculation methods for the application of the data are not given.
