This standard only applies in conjunction with the standards VDI 3397 Part 1 and Part 3 as well as VDI 3035. The standard describes maintenance measures during MWF use. It gives guidance, both from economic and ecological viewpoints, for achieving an optimum life for various MWF types while taking into account all legal provisions. The standard is not applicable to once-through lubrication.
