scope:
This guideline applies to all trucks, trailers (full trailers and close-coupled trailers), tractor-trailer rigs (semi-trailers) and also to special vehicles (see also DIN 70010 and VDI 2700). This guideline is intended for the use of shippers, drivers and vehicle owners. Their areas of responsibility derive from the statutory provisions of national road traffic and industrial safety legislation and also from the corresponding legislation and regulations in the member states of the European Union.
