scope:
This VDI guideline provides orientation help for
- practising engineers who have developed their own capabilities in line with the generally recognised professional profile of "value analyst/ value manager" according to VDI 2801 Part 1 and would like to qualify accordingly,
- personnel developers who generate and would like to implement the advanced training concepts and training procedures for their technical and managerial personnel who will be deployed in future as value managers or
- managers who would like to develop their own staff for value management tasks and wish to facilitate the implementation of the acquired knowledge and capabilities.
The guideline VDI 2801 Part 2 combines the professional profile defined in the guideline VDI 2801 Part 1 with his required competences and the contents of the training system described in the manual "Value for Europe - VM-Training and Certification System". The guideline VDI 2801 Part 2 promulgates the requirements for training to become a value analyst/value manager.
The value analyst/value manager shall have
- management competence,
- leadership competence,
- social competence,
- technical and methodological competence, and
- personal competence
(qualifications that he/she acquires and/or consolidates as a part of his/her education and training) to take on the multifarious and complex tasks and be able to successfully carry them out. His/her technical, managerial and organisational knowledge is the basis of this competence.
