This Part 3 of the guideline VDI/VDE/DGQ/ DKD 2622 deals with the calibration of digital multimeters (referred to below as DMMs). It does not claim to be an exhaustive compilation of all the metrological details of DMMs, not even of those relevant to their calibration. The pertinent standards and documents have been taken into account (see bibliography).
Additionally, the manufacturer's specifications for the DMM in question shall be observed during calibration.
The present Part 3 shall only apply in conjunction with Part 1 of this guideline.
This guideline is neither applicable to digital indicating comparators, compensators, and measuring bridges, nor to artifact calibration.
