Fields of application

The method is suitable for determining the deposition of PCDD/Fs, with no differentiation between the dif-ferent deposition processes being possible (see also introduction). All 17 2,3,7,8-chlorosubstituted PCDD/F congeners are determined, as are total tetra to hepta CDD/F ho-mologs, from which toxicity equivalent values (TEQ values) can be calculated using various models (see Annex B). For a sampling time of 30 days, with simultaneous sampling in five sampling vessels, the limit of detec-tion for 2,3,7,8-TCDD is 1 pg/(m2 d).
