This standard refers and applies to continuousoperated, vertical screw conveyors with a uniform and continuous material input.
It does not apply to special designs or special applications of screw conveyors. In particular, it does not apply to
- discharge screws
- metering screws
- horizontal or slightly inclined screw conveyors
- strongly inclined screw conveyors
Those applications have separate calculation principles.
