Scope of validity
This Guideline applies to plants for crushing and classifying rock produced in quarries and from other deposits (e.g. moraines).
The processing of rock is a process for manufacturing bulk building materials for the construction of roads and paths, concrete, railways, sports grounds and hydraulic engineering, as well as for the concrete product industry [8]. It includes handling the rock from the processing plant feed bunker up to loading, including intermediate storage and traffic areas. Roads in quarry areas are not included.
