scope:
This guideline applies to plants melting copper cathodes, alloy metals, return material and copper-bearing scrap metals, refining the melt, where applicable, and subsequently casting it into formats on casting lines. It also covers plants producing metallic pigments from copper and copper alloys.
Not included in the scope of this guideline are plants melting copper and copper alloys for the production of finished castings.
