VDI 3802 BLATT 2

Air conditioning systems for factories - Capture of air pollutants at machine tools removing material

active, Most Current
Organization: VDI
Publication Date: 1 March 2012
Status: active
Page Count: 83
ICS Code (Ventilation and air-conditioning systems): 91.140.30
scope:

This guideline, as a supplement to guideline VDI 3802 Part 1, deals with the reduction of hazardous substance emissions in the production hall through the extraction of air pollutants where ablating machine tools are being used.

It includes notes of the design and dimensioning of extraction systems, with the objective of minimising the extracted airflows while complying with specified safety targets.

Options for function verification will be presented, extracted air cleaning methods for the relevant applications described and safety methods for protecting against fire and explosion hazards discussed.

This guideline does not cover machines for primary forming and reshaping, jointing machines, cleaving cut-off machines or machines where the ablation is based on other physical and chemical principles.
