scope:
This guideline is intended for the determination, assessment and judgement of airborne ultrasound at the work place. Principles, methods and measurement techniques for quantitative determination as well as judgement guidelines are described. Moreover, practical applications of ultrasound and noise control measures for sources of ultrasound at the work place are dealt with.
The guideline does not deal with effects due to explosions, shooting noises and physically comparable sounds at corresponding work places.
