scope:
This guideline covers electrostatic precipitators for the collection of solid and/or liquid particles from exhaust air generated by industrial processes or encountered in indoor air cleaning applications.
The collection of solid and/or liquid particles from process or waste gases is dealt with in Part 1 of this guideline series.
Furthermore, reference is made to the specific acts, ordinances, administrative regulations and other rules applicable to the construction and operation of electrostatic precipitators (see Bibliography and Section 7.4).
