The guideline is intended primarily for designers, developers, engineers, and technicians, but also in general for all persons entrusted with the design and evaluation of load-bearing structures. The purpose of the guideline is to familiarize users with biomimetic optimization methods as an effective tool for increasing the lifespan and reducing the weight of components and to promote the widespread use of these methods and thus to accomodate the social order of saving natural resources.
