Objective
Acceptance measurements and their results are subject to the principles laid down in DIN 1319-1 [1], DIN 1319-3 [2] and DIN 1319-4 [3]. Whereas these standards confine themselves to stating the result value obtained from the measured values together with the associated uncertainties of measurement, a comparison of guaranteed characteristics demands in addition information on the true values1) of the technical characteristics. It is therefore the aim of the present guideline to give instructions building on DIN 1319-1 [1], DIN 1319-3 [2] and DIN 1319-4 [3] for the evaluation of acceptance measurements in terms of an informative comparison of guaranteed characteristics in consideration of the special conditions in energy-conversion and power plants.
Since other measurements on energy-conversion and power plants also give an indication of the true values of their technical characteristics, this guideline can be generally referred to for the quality assurance of measurements and for the assessment of measurement results or for the assessment of the informative value of measurements.
