scope:
The present guideline applies to room control applications in the field of building services (cost type 484 as per DIN 276). It also serves for requirements planning according to DIN 18205.
This guideline supports the dialogue between investors, building owners, users, operators, installers, planners, product manufacturers and executing companies so as to create the basis for a quality management system, irrespective of the actual technical implementation. This is supposed to be achieved through:
- a comprehensive presentation of the value of benefit for building owner, investor or operator using room control
- clear identification of the requirements of users, investors or operators, and definition of the planning task (requirements specification)
- a clear description of the services to be rendered by planners and executing companies for their orderer
- clarification at an early planning stage of the interfaces
between all parties involved in the planning and
constructional/techn
ical implementation - development of a terminology of applications and RA functions, universally valid for all parties involved
This guideline defines the terms used in the context of planning integral room control systems.
It is recommended to draw up a detailed requirements specification in terms of an extended room book, in which the requirements to be met by the automated functions of the room are specified.
This guideline can serve as an aid here. The guideline introduces a general model for system analysis and system differentiation.
