scope:
The standard applies to room control applications in the building services (cost group 484 "Room control systems" as per DIN 276-1). The standard helps to improve the coordination between investors, building owners, users, operators, installers, planners, product manufacturers and executing companies, so that RA functions and RA macros can be specified for specific room types regardless of the technical implementation. The standard is thus a tool for making the planning and execution of room control more efficient.
The standard supplements the standards VDI 3813 Part 1 and Part 2 by adding the methodology for creating RA macros as well as application examples for room types.
The representations of RA macros provided in the standard only serve to explain a procedure or method for how to combine RA functions into RA macros and represent them as documentation. They do not serve to standardise the procedure of implementing and programming functions and applications.
However, the function block representations of the RA functions und RA macros allow unambiguous description of the interaction of several RA functions in the form of RA macros so that they can be used in the manufacturers' documentation and for planning and execution.
The RA function list and the RA schematic are used for a clear representation of the desired RA functions or RA macros with regard to both quality and quantity.
Lastly, the standard allows to relate the BACS efficiency classes as per DIN EN 15 232 to the RA functions and RA macros.
