The acceptance and reverification tests described in this standard are applicable to laser trackers which use both contacting and non-contacting probing systems. The standard addresses the testing of the performance of a laser tracker with multiple probing system when two or more probing systems are used together to perform a measurement task

This standard describes procedures for testing the performance of laser trackers with multiple probing systems. It requires testing of the laser tracker in accordance with VDI/VDE 2617 Part 10 and compliance with the operating conditions specified by the manufacturer.

It is applicable to:

  • acceptance tests for demonstrating compliance of the laser tracker and its probing system with the manufacturer's specifications
  • reverification tests for periodic testing of the laser tracker and its probing system by the user
  • interim checks for inspection of the laser tracker and its probing system by the user between reverification tests
