The series of standards VDI/VDE/DGQ/ DKD 2622 lays down a technically well-balanced range of generally applicable calibration procedures for the calibration of instruments for measuring electrical quantities and thus creates a uniform, cross-company basis for test equipment monitoring.

The present standard applies to analogue and digital arbitrary function generators (hereinafter simply referred to as function generators) to approx. 100 MHz. The procedures described do not claim to cover all of the metrological properties of the measuring equipment, even those of importance to the calibration of function generators. Depending on the conditions of use, the scope of calibration may be reduced or extended in consultation with the customer.
