VDI 3794 BLATT 2

Determination of depositon fluxes of ambient air pollutants - Determination of the deposition flux of ammonia and ammonium compounds by means of the IRMA method

active, Most Current
Organization: VDI
Publication Date: 1 July 2013
Status: active
Page Count: 20
ICS Code (Air quality in general): 13.040.01
scope:

The IRMA method presented becomes a complete measurement method by combining the sampling with a subsequent defined analytical procedure for the obtained samples.

Deposition flux determination with the IRMA method can be used for a variety of purposes, e.g.

• as associated investigation into the formation of corrosion or weathering by atmospheric trace substances in the natural weathering of materials according to VDI 3955 Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3

• for identification of atmospheric substances that cause material damage and determination of the current risk of damage to objects through the impact of atmospheric substances

• for recording of spatial and local climatic differences in the non-gravitational deposition of atmospheric trace substances and seasonal or other fluctuations in their deposition

• as part of an impact mapping of atmospheric trace substances
