scope:
This guideline deals with the storage of bulk material in open and roofed stockyards.
In addition to the generally valid design fundamentals, ISO 5049-1 applies to the design of the required stockyard equipment. The design of the associated mechanical parts shall be based on FEM 2.131/2.132.
Regarding the storage of bulk material in bins and silos, refer to the guideline VDI 2694.
