This Guideline applies to new gas-fired water vapour and hot water generators with a thermal fixing capacity of 10 MW or more (gas-fired water vapour and steam generators with a thermal fixing capacity of less than 10 MW are described in Part 2 of this Guideline).
Gas-fuelled intemal combustion engines and turbines, and systems operated with bio- and process gases fall outside the scope of this Guideline.
